Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Hotel Splitter and split stays.

What is Hotel Splitter?

🏙️ Hotel Splitter helps you get more from city breaks by structuring your stay more intelligently.

We look at your trip night-by-night. Sometimes that’s one great hotel. Other times it’s two nearby hotels with one simple mid-stay switch.

You’ll see one total price upfront and book everything in one checkout, with one confirmation.

How does a split stay save me money?

💸 Hotel prices can change from one night to the next based on weekend demand, events, or local surges.

One or two “spiky” nights can quietly pull the whole total up.

We compare prices night-by-night across your dates, and if switching once improves the overall total, we’ll show a split-stay option.

Can you give me an example?

🧾 Example (illustrative): imagine a 6-night trip.

One hotel all week might total £800. A split stay could be 3 nights in Hotel A, then 3 nights in Hotel B (nearby), for £680.

That’s £120 less overall in this example. Prices are live and can change.

What is the booking process for a split stay?

✅ It’s simple.

🔎 You search your destination and dates. We show both traditional single-hotel stays and split stay options (when they make sense for your week).

You choose the option you prefer and proceed to a single, secure checkout.

You only enter your guest and payment details once.

We then make the separate reservations with each hotel on your behalf, and you’ll receive one comprehensive booking confirmation from us with all the details for each hotel in your itinerary.

Is Hotel Splitter the same as Go Splitty

Hotel Splitter (hotel-splitter.com) is operated by TRAVELTECH INNOVATIONS LTD (UK Company No. 16265135). We are not affiliated with Go Splitty, Splitty, Traveluro, Holisto, Algotels, or any similarly named brands.

What about the hassle of switching hotels?

We know switching hotels is a trade-off, so we keep it as smooth as possible:

🧾 Full transparency: you’ll always see exactly which hotels you’re staying at, and on which dates, before you book.

🗺️ Travel times: we’ll show the distance and typical travel time between hotels, so you know what the switch looks like before you commit.

🧳 Practical tips: your confirmation email includes tips for switch day, like asking about luggage storage. Many hotels can store bags for a few hours after checkout, which gives you time to explore before your next check-in.

🚀 Improvements: we’re always refining the experience to make the switch feel even simpler over time.

How many booking references will I receive?

🔢 You will receive one primary Hotel Splitter booking reference for your entire trip.

Your Booking Confirmation email will also contain a separate confirmation reference for each individual hotel segment in your itinerary. When communicating with a specific hotel, you should use their specific reference number.

Can I choose my room type?

In most cases, the best value shows up in standard room types.

The exact room type (for example, “Standard Double”) will be clearly displayed for each hotel segment before you book.

What payment methods do you accept?

💳 We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, processed securely via Revolut Pay.

All transactions are processed in British Pounds (GBP).

Is the price I see the final price I pay to you?

✅ Yes. The total price you see at checkout is the final, all-inclusive price you pay to us for your accommodation package.

It includes all room charges for your entire stay and any applicable taxes that we handle.

Please be aware that some hotels may require payment for local city taxes or resort fees directly at the property. We will display any known mandatory charges on the checkout page before you complete your booking, so there are no surprises.

Which cities can I book with Hotel Splitter?

📍 We are currently focused on providing the best possible split-stay options in London.

We’re perfecting the experience and building deep inventory in one city first. We’re also working on expansion to other major global cities (including New York and Paris) over time.

What is your cancellation policy?

🔁 Our cancellation policy is designed to be as transparent as possible.

Each split-stay package has a single, clear cancellation deadline which is displayed on the checkout page before you book.

This deadline is determined by the strictest policy of the hotels included in your package.

If you cancel before this deadline, you will receive a full refund.

If you cancel after this deadline, the booking is 100% non-refundable.

You can view our full policy in our Terms & Conditions page.

How do I change or cancel my booking?

📧 All cancellation requests must be made by emailing our support team at bookings@hotel-splitter.com with your booking reference. Please note that we do not support modifications (e.g., date changes); these would require a cancellation of the original booking (subject to the policy) and a new booking to be made.

How can I contact Hotel Splitter?

☎️ For any questions about your booking or our service, please email us at info@hotel-splitter.com.

We aim to respond to all queries within 1 business day. You can find our full company details in the footer of our website.

Can I pick the exact neighbourhoods for each part of the stay?

Not yet.

Right now, you choose your dates and your maximum hotel changes, and we optimise the pairing across well-located hotels.

We show maps and details to help you sense-check the locations before you book.

Can one hotel be a better option?

Yes.

Sometimes one great hotel is the best answer for your dates — especially when the price and availability stay steady across the week.

Hotel Splitter’s job is to find the smartest plan for the whole trip. If a single-hotel stay is already the best-value option, we’ll show you that. If a one-switch split stay makes the week work better, you’ll see that too.

You’re always in control: choose one hotel, or choose one easy switch.

Is it always cheaper to split my stay between two hotels?

No. Split stays are not guaranteed to be cheaper.

They can help when prices and availability are uneven across your week (for example a weekend spike or one sold-out night). They can also open up better location options and let you experience two neighbourhoods in one trip.

We show single-hotel and split-stay options side by side so you can choose what fits your dates and travel style.

When does a split stay make the most sense?

Split stays usually make most sense on trips of around 4–7 nights.

They can be useful when one hotel cannot cover your full date range, when a few nights are much pricier than the rest, or when you want to stay in two different areas during one trip.

It is planned move, not hotel hopping every night.

Can I use Hotel Splitter without splitting my stay?

Yes. You can book a single hotel through Hotel Splitter.

You choose what you prefer.

Will switching hotels waste a day of my trip?

For most travellers, it does not have to.

We keep the changeover simple and show the distance and typical travel time between hotels before you book. Many people check out, store bags, explore for a few hours, then check in later.

If you are travelling light, you can also just keep your bag with you and carry on with your day.

Is a split stay right for every type of traveller?

It depends on your travel style.

A split stay can be a great fit if you want to get more from the same trip, in three common ways:

  • More value across the week when prices vary night by night,
  • More choice when one hotel cannot cover your full date range,
  • More of the city by staying in two different areas in one trip.

Either way, the idea is simple: we help your city week work better, so you can travel in the way that suits you.

Do you have planning guides?

Yes. Our guides cover where to stay for a 5 to 7 night London trip, how split stays work, and how to plan the switch day.
