Terms & Conditions

1  Parties & Agreement

1.1  These terms and conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between:

(a) Traveltech Innovations Ltd, a company incorporated in England & Wales (company no. 16265135) whose registered office is at 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX trading as “Hotel Splitter” ("Hotel Splitter", "we", "us", "our"); and

(b) any individual who accesses, browses or uses the Platform (defined below) ("User", "you", "**your"""), whether or not a booking is completed.

1.2  By accessing or using the Platform you confirm that you are 18 years or older, have legal capacity to enter into contracts, and agree to be bound by these Terms and the policies referenced herein.

2  Definitions

Term Meaning
"Accommodation" A room, apartment or other hotel accommodation offered for stay on particular dates.
"Accommodation Supplier" / "Supplier" The hotel, property or other third-party provider of Accommodation with whom the Userʼs accommodation contract is made.
"Booking" A reservation request for one or more Accommodation segments submitted via the Platform and accepted by the relevant Accommodation Supplier(s).
"Booking Confirmation" The email and/or web confirmation issued by Hotel Splitter summarising the details of each Accommodation segment, Supplier references, total price and applicable cancellation terms.
"Platform" Hotel Splitterʼs website, mobile site, APIs and any associated applications through which Split-Stay Packages are searched, booked or otherwise transacted.
"Split-Stay Package" A combination of two or more consecutive Accommodation segments at different hotels in the same destination city, sold together for a single trip duration.
"Single-Stay Booking" A reservation for Accommodation at one hotel for the entire stay, made via the Platform.

3  Scope of Service

3.1  Hotel Splitter operates the Platform as an online marketplace that facilitates the search and booking of Single-Stay Bookings and Split-Stay Packages (together, “Bookings”). The Platform displays total prices derived from live wholesale rates and Hotel Splitterʼs own markup.

3.2  No package travel or linked-travel arrangement (within the meaning of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018) is sold. Hotel Splitter sells accommodation-only bookings; flights or other travel services are not bundled.

3.3  Content on the Platform (including hotel descriptions, images and star ratings) is provided by Suppliers or third-party content aggregators and is displayed “as-is”. While we use reasonable care to keep content accurate, Hotel Splitter does not guarantee that such information is error-free or up-to-date.

4  Our Role as Agent

4.1  Hotel Splitter acts solely as a disclosed agent for each Accommodation Supplier. By completing a Booking, you enter a direct contract with the relevant Supplier for the provision of the Accommodation; Hotel Splitter is not a principal or co-contracting party to that accommodation contract.

4.2  Hotel Splitterʼs obligations are limited to:

  • displaying Supplier inventory and prices;
  • collecting payment from the User as agent for the Supplier; and
  • facilitating the transmission of booking details and secure payment to each Supplier.

4.3  Responsibility for the delivery, condition and quality of the Accommodation rests exclusively with the Supplier. Any claims relating to a stay (e.g. hygiene, over-booking, service quality) must be raised with the Supplier directly, although we will provide reasonable assistance where practicable.

5  Booking Process

5.1  Search & Selection. You search for travel dates and select a Single-Stay Booking or Split-Stay Package presented on the Platform.

5.2  Price Display. The total price shown includes our markup plus VAT where applicable and any compulsory charges notified to us by Suppliers. Per-night prices are not displayed publicly if doing so might breach a Supplierʼs Best Available Rate (BAR) parity obligations.

5.3  User Details. You must enter accurate guest names, contact details and any special requests.

5.4  Payment. Full payment is taken at checkout via Revolut Pay (major debit and credit cards accepted) in GBP. See clause 6.

5.5  Confirmation. Upon successful payment we generate separate reservations with each Supplier. A Booking Confirmation is then sent to the email address supplied. If any segment cannot be confirmed, we will offer an alternative or a full refund (at your election).

5.6  Contract Formation. Your contract with each Supplier is formed only when we send the Booking Confirmation on the Supplierʼs behalf.

6  Who We Share Data With

We disclose personal data only when necessary to deliver the Platform, process your Booking or comply with law. Recipients fall into two groups:

Category Named examples Purpose / lawful basis
Payment processing & anti-fraud Revolut Ltd (UK/EU) Process card payments, screen for fraud (Art 6(1)(b)/(f))
Web analytics & performance Google Analytics (USA/EU), Microsoft Clarity (USA/EU) Measure site usage, improve UX (Art 6(1)(f) – legitimate interest)
Accommodation-inventory partners (not publicly named) Transmit guest details to secure hotel confirmation (Art 6(1)(b))
Cloud hosting & IT support UK/EU providers; data centres in EU/UK Operate the Platform (Art 6(1)(f))
Customer-communication platforms UK/EU email delivery provider Send transactional emails (Art 6(1)(b))
Regulators, law-enforcement, professional advisers As required by law Compliance & legal defence (Art 6(1)(c)/(f))

We do not sell or rent personal data. Where a third-country transfer occurs (e.g. analytics data to the USA or booking data to inventory partners in Israel – an adequacy-approved jurisdiction) we rely on an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses plus supplementary safeguards.

7  Cancellations, Refunds & Modifications

A. Single-Stay Bookings

A.1  Hotel Deadline. Each Single-Stay Booking shows the hotelʼs free-cancellation deadline (“Hotel Deadline”) on the checkout page and in your Booking Confirmation.

A.2  Cancel before the Hotel Deadline – we refund the total price you paid (refund issued within 7 business days).

A.3  Cancel after the Hotel Deadline (or no-show) – the Booking is 100 % non-refundable.

B. Split-Stay Packages

B.1  Free-Cancellation Deadline. Each Split-Stay Package shows one cancellation deadline on the checkout page and in your Booking Confirmation (“Free-Cancellation Deadline”).

B.2  Cancel before the Free-Cancellation Deadline – we cancel all segments and refund the total price.

B.3  Cancel after the Free-Cancellation Deadline (or no-show) – the Package is 100 % non-refundable.

C. Shared Rules

C.1  Modifications. The Platform cannot process mid-booking changes. To change dates, hotel or room type you must cancel in accordance with section A or B (as applicable) and create a new Booking. We will correct obvious spelling errors in guest names if notified within 24 hours of Booking Confirmation.

C.2  Supplier Non-Performance. If a hotel is unable to honour a confirmed stay, our liability is limited to refunding you the amount we recover from that hotel. We do not undertake to find alternative accommodation.

8  User Responsibilities

8.1  You warrant that all information supplied during booking is true, complete and not misleading.

8.2  You must:

  • meet all check-in requirements (ID, payment card, age limits);
  • comply with Supplier house rules; and
  • promptly review the Booking Confirmation and notify us within 24 hours of any spelling error in guest names. Changes to dates, hotels or room types require cancellation and re-booking pursuant to section 7 C.1.

8.3  You are responsible for all charges incurred on site (e.g. minibar, damages). Suppliers may require a credit card pre-authorisation on arrival.

8.4  Providing incorrect guest information that results in refusal of service may render the booking non-refundable.

9  Intellectual Property

9.1  All intellectual-property rights in the Platform and its content (save for Supplier-provided content) are owned by or licensed to Hotel Splitter. You may use the Platform solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9.2  Unauthorised scraping, reproduction or distribution of Platform content is prohibited.

10  Prohibited Conduct

10.1  You shall not:

  • use bots or automated systems to extract data without our written consent;
  • frame, mirror or deep-link to any part of the Platform;
  • upload malicious code; or
  • book with the intention of resale or speculative gain.

11  Limitation of Liability

11.1  Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

11.2  Subject to clause 11.1 and to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Hotel Splitterʼs aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with any Booking shall not exceed the total price paid to us for that Booking.

11.3  We shall not be liable for:

  • indirect, consequential or special losses;
  • loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings;
  • acts or omissions of Suppliers; or
  • delays, cancellations or over-bookings attributable to Suppliers.

11.4  Where a Supplier fails to provide Accommodation, your remedies lie solely against that Supplier, save that we will provide reasonable assistance to pursue such remedies.

12  Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Hotel Splitter (and its directors, employees and agents) harmless against all losses, liabilities, costs and expenses arising out of or in connection with any breach of these Terms or infringement of a third-party right by you.

13  Data Protection & Privacy

13.1  Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy [hyperlink] and UK data-protection law.

13.2  For the purpose of facilitating your Booking, we share relevant personal data (e.g. guest names, contact details) with each Supplier and payment provider. Such transfers may involve processing outside the UK/EEA; appropriate safeguards will be applied.

14  Force Majeure

Neither Hotel Splitter nor the Supplier shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms where such failure results from events beyond reasonable control (including but not limited to natural disasters, fire, epidemic, strikes, war, terrorism or government actions).

15  Amendment of Terms

We may amend these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on the Platform. Revised Terms apply to new bookings from the date of publication; existing bookings remain governed by the Terms in force at the time of booking.

16  Complaints & Dispute Resolution

16.1  If you have a complaint relating to the Platform or a Booking, please contact bookings@hotel-splitter.com in the first instance. We will acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and aim to respond substantively within 10 business days.

16.2  If your complaint relates to on-property issues, you must first notify the Supplier so they have an opportunity to remedy the problem.

16.3  If we cannot resolve a dispute, you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

17  Governing Law & Jurisdiction

17.1  These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising hereunder are governed by English law.

17.2  The courts of England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident elsewhere in the UK or EU may bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction.

18  General Provisions

18.1  Entire Agreement. These Terms (together with documents referenced herein) constitute the entire agreement between the parties relating to their subject matter and supersede any previous understanding.

18.2  Severability. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.

18.3  No Waiver. Failure to enforce any right shall not constitute a waiver of future enforcement.

https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

18.4  Assignment. Hotel Splitter may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms upon notice to you; you may not assign without our prior written consent.

18.5  Third-Party Rights. Except for Suppliers (who may enforce these Terms insofar as they relate to payment collection), no person who is not a party has any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term.

18.6  Contact Details. Customer services:

19  Rate Display & BAR Covenant

19.1  To comply with our accommodation‐supply agreements and to ensure price clarity for Users, the Company will display only the total package price for a Split-Stay Package prior to purchase and will not show per-night rates.

19.2  Users must not scrape, copy, publish or otherwise disseminate any nightly rate information obtained from the Platform. The Company reserves the right to cancel any booking (with a full refund) that is made, advertised or re-sold in breach of this covenant.

20  Payments – Charge-back Administration

20.1  If a cardholder dispute ("charge-back") is raised against a booking and is ultimately resolved in the Companyʼs favour, the Company may debit the original payment method—or deduct from any amount otherwise refundable—the non-refundable third-party dispute costs it incurs (currently up to £30 per transaction). No such amount will be charged where the dispute is upheld in the Userʼs favour.

21  Platform Withdrawal

21.1  If the Company permanently withdraws the Platform or materially ceases to offer booking services for commercial reasons, it will give affected Users at least 30 daysʼ prior written notice and will honour or refund all unexpired bookings. This clause does not limit the Companyʼs right to suspend or terminate access immediately in cases of fraud, misuse or other material breach by the User.

22  Data-Sharing Transparency

22.1  In facilitating a booking the Company shares the lead guestʼs personal data with its appointed accommodation inventory partners and other suppliers strictly as necessary to perform the contract. The identities of such partners may change from time to time and categories of such partners are described in the Companyʼs Privacy Policy.
